Grace Cassar '25
President
Grace is a senior at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business, where she is dual majoring in real estate and finance. Originally from Ventura County, CA, she was introduced to real estate through her parents' involvement in the industry. Grace is excited to serve as president of the Real Estate Society, having previously held the position of vice president of events during the 2023-24 academic year. Throughout her time at USD, Grace has enjoyed being active in organizations, including serving as Gamma Phi Beta's vice president of finance and being a member of the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. She has also gained valuable experience by interning with various real estate companies. In particular, Grace interned with JLL’s Capital Markets team during Summer 2023. In Spring 2024, Grace passed her CA Real Estate Salesperson License exam. In her free time, Grace enjoys hot yoga, running, ceramics and spending time at the beach.
Brynn Schuler '25
Vice President
Brynn is a senior at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business. She is pursuing a bachelor’s in finance and real estate. Originally from Puyallup, WA, Brynn’s passion for real estate led her to the respectable program at USD. She has been an active member of the Real Estate Society (RES) since her freshman year and is excited to sit on the 2024-2025 Executive Board with her peers to lead, inspire and connect with other real estate students. Brynn will be interning with Fairfield Residential, a vertically integrated and privately held company specializing in multifamily, during Summer 2024. Aside from RES, she is also an active member in her Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, where she served as the scholarship director and is involved with the USD Student Finance Association, where she will serve as the director of internal relations.
Evan Espineli '25
Co- Vice President of Events
Evan is a senior at the University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business, where he is pursuing a double major in real estate and finance. His passion for real estate sparked during his freshman year after being introduced to the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate, where he was amazed by the wealth of opportunities available. Actively involved in student life at USD, he has served as a community liaison for the Filipino Ugnayan Student Organization and is the master of rituals for the professional business fraternity, Phi Chi Theta, in Fall 2024. In his free time, Evan enjoys reading, watching movies, playing music and staying active.
Turner Loughead '26
Co-Vice President of Events
Turner Loughead is a sophomore at the University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business. He is double majoring in real estate and finance and is set to graduate in 2026. He plans to complete a master’s in finance in 2027. Turner was born and raised in Pismo Beach, CA where he was lured into real estate because of its enterprising atmosphere and ambitious nature. In Fall 2024, he will be working with the brokerage team at Silber Investment Properties, a commercial retail focused real estate investment trust. He prepared by obtaining his salesperson license in high school and worked at a local brokerage in San Luis Obispo county and with a developer in Pismo Beach. At USD, he is involved with the real estate society, joined a professional business fraternity and is involved with the student finance association.
Kyle Ecker '25
Co-Vice President of Finance
Kyle Ecker is a senior at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business. He is pursuing a double major in real estate and finance. Kyle was born and raised in Danville, CA. He has always had an interest in real estate. He loves the competitive nature of the industry as well as the relationships that can be built and maintained. Kyle is currently interning with Chelsea Investment Corporation as a member of their asset management team. At USD, Kyle is an active member of the Real Estate Society, his fraternity (Delta Tau Delta), and was a member of the football team. Kyle loves sports, the team atmosphere and the environment it creates. In his free time, Kyle enjoys spending time with friends, playing beach volleyball, watching sports and golfing. Upon graduating in May 2025, Kyle plans to pursue a career in commercial real estate, either in brokerage or asset management.
Paul Johnson '26
Co-Vice President of Finance
Paul Johnson is a junior pursuing a double major in real estate and finance. Born in San Jose, CA, he currently serves as a resident assistant at a USD dormitory, showcasing his leadership and interpersonal skills. With a keen interest in real estate investment, Paul is already making strides as a real investor, leveraging his analytical abilities and market insights. As the oldest of three siblings, he values responsibility and teamwork. Outside of academia and work, Paul finds solace in weightlifting and fueling his curiosity through travel. With a vision for the future, he aspires to become a prominent real estate developer, driven by his passion for creating thriving communities.
Luiza Hillery '25
Co-Vice President of Marketing
Luiza is a senior at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business, majoring in finance and real estate. Born in Chicago, IL, she discovered her passion for commercial real estate through her first real estate class at USD, Principles of Real Estate. Since her freshman year, Luiza has been an active member of the Real Estate Society. She is also involved in the Women in Business Organization, American Marketing Association, Kappa Delta sorority and USD’s Pilates Club. Recently inducted into The Judy Lewis Logue Alcalá Chapter of Mortar Board, an esteemed honor society recognizing top students, Luiza continues to excel academically and professionally. She has also joined BOMA, furthering her real estate industry involvement.
Angie Carroll '25
Co-Vice President of Marketing
Angie is a senior at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business, majoring in real estate and marketing. She is from Rancho Mirage, CA, where she was a competitive athlete growing up and into college. Angie’s skillset and driven spirit aligns well with her plans of pursuing a career in commercial real estate. She is excited to positively impact the Real Estate Society and further build relationships with her peers and industry professionals. Angie interned with Lennar, a residential real estate firm, where she worked in their land acquisition, sales and marketing departments. During Summer 2024, she worked at Matthews Real Estate Investment Services as a sales intern. Angie was on the leadership board for USD’s American Marketing Association and is involved with the Sales Club. She has also studied abroad in Florence, Italy and in Madrid, Spain. Angie enjoys running, surfing, beach volleyball, basketball and spending time with family and friends.
Liam Duignan '25
Co-Vice President of Industry and Community Relations
Liam Duignan is a senior at the University of San Diego, pursuing a double major in real estate and finance. He is concerned and is passionate about the housing crisis taking place locally and nationally. In June 2024, Liam began working at SDRE Homebuyers, a local developer focusing on multifamily development. In this position, he hopes to obtain hands on experience in this sector of real estate which is of interest to him. He has a strong interest in pursuing real estate development upon graduating from USD. Liam has been involved in team sports his entire life. He was offered a position on USD’s men’s soccer team, but later, had to resign due to an injury. Liam is a San Diego native.
Lily Cole '25
Co-Vice President of Industry and Community Relations
Lily Cole is a senior at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business. She is double majoring in real estate and finance. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Lily’s passion for real estate led her to the esteemed Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at USD. Lily has been an active member of USD’s Real Estate Society since her freshman year. She is thrilled to be joining the RES as vice president of industry and community relations for the 2024-25 academic year. Lily also serves as vice president of internal Affairs of her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. She is working towards earning her Real Estate Salesperson License in both California and Texas. Lily has joined Keller Williams Realty (Auker Group) in La Jolla, CA as an inside sales agent and client relations specialist. Aside from her academic and professional endeavors, Lily enjoys photography, arts & crafts cooking and spending time with friends and family.
Sydney Goad '25
Vice President of Research and Outcomes
Sydney Goad is a senior at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business, pursuing a double major in real estate and marketing. From Medina, WA, Sydney's passion for real estate began in her hometown and ultimately led her to USD's esteemed real estate program. Sydney has been an active member of the Real Estate Society since her freshman year and in her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. She is also an active member of USD’s Women in Business, where she will serve as vice president for the 2024-2025 academic year. Professionally, Sydney is the marketing and administrative assistant for Team Anderson-White at Pacific Sotheby’s, a luxury residential real estate team based in La Jolla, CA. Outside academics, Sydney enjoys spending time at the beach, being with friends and family, shopping and working out. She plans to pursue a career in residential real estate, marketing or interior design.
Grace Morgan '26
Co-Vice President of Professional Organizations
Grace is a sophomore at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business, where she is double majoring in real estate and finance. She was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ where she was exposed to the world of real estate through her parents. Grace has been involved in the Real Estate Society and has attended many real estate events since her freshman year. She currently has an internship at ACI Apartments in San Diego and previously worked for Newmark in Phoenix. Grace enjoys real estate because of the creativity involved and relationship-building component between brokers and clients. She hopes to pursue a career in commercial brokerage or development. In her free time, Grace enjoys running, traveling, going to the beach and reading.
Luke Sampson '25
Co-Vice President of Professional Organizations
Luke Sampson is a senior at the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business. He is pursuing a double major in real estate and finance, with a minor in entrepreneurship. Luke was born and raised in Tustin, CA. He was drawn to real estate due to its competitive spirit, opportunistic nature and the negotiation elements involved in real estate. During Summer 2024, Luke interned with The Dinerstein Companies, a nationally renowned development, construction and property management company. In addition to his role on the Real Estate Society (RES) board, Luke also serves as an active member in the Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) fraternity. Outside of USD, he enjoys traveling, golfing, listening to live music, watching sports and spending time with friends and family. Upon graduation in May 2025, Luke plans to eagerly pursue a career in commercial real estate.
JACQUELINE GREULICH '85
Advisor, Real Estate Society; Associate Director, Real Estate Student and Career Services
Jacqueline Greulich '85 is responsible for connecting undergraduate and graduate real estate students with professionals within the commercial and residential real estate industry. She oversees the coordination of student mentorships, internships and career placement initiatives. Greulich brings to the BMC more than 20 years of experience within the commercial real estate industry, including positions with Westcore Properties and Burnham Real Estate (now Cushman & Wakefield). She is an alumna of USD and Lead San Diego 2001. She is a recipient of the TWIN YWCA award and is a board member of Alpha Project and San Diego Center for Children.
JOHN DEMAS
Faculty Advisor, Real Estate Society; Professor of Practice in
Real Estate
Professor Demas currently teaches undergraduate real estate courses as well as a graduate Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) course. He is passionate about using engaging stories to convey complex concepts with thought provoking “word picture” illustrations – building rapport, forging alliances, and blazing paths to the undiscovered, underappreciated, and undervalued. His strategic leadership approach mobilizes people and assets. Professor Demas also serves as a strategic advisor, trustee and director of select privately held organizations.
